5’9 18 5/8 2 1/4 squash tail, 5 fin future set up. This is a fairly new board. I took it to Indo two weeks ago and rode it on a head high, fast, down the line right that was quite shred-able. She’s real fast, real loose, and is fun in just about anything. I came home and rode this board last week in the trestles prime. Haven’t experimented too much with the 4 fin set up, but the little that I have it felt incredibly fast, but harder to do a tight turn in the pocket. It has much less release as a four fin. It’s cool to switch it up though because it feels like a completely different board. Heading down to costa rica today and threw this one in the bag cause it’s fun in all sorts of waves!!!

Monster hooked us up with this sleek, streamline, purring, beauty of a toy this week. I think I had to change my shorts after i got my first glimpse! Mike and I took it out for a test spin yesterday to break in the engine and figure out all of the procedures of maintaining it. It’s definitely not as simple as you would think, but we’ll get the hang of it. We have a feeling this thing is going to amount to some serious fun.

For being completely irrelevant lately. Lack of internet in Indo, dodging earthquakes, and searching out right reef breaks has led to a somewhat feral lifestyle. What Youth//New Zealand

The Lack of blogging can be attributed to being really busy, and having no internet. Last week I got back from a trip to New Zealand with Dane, Craig, Dion, and Rich Cristie. We cruised around the South Island surfing some super fun waves and seeing some incredibly beautiful sites. It was a trip to remember and I was pumped to be a part of it. The photos and video will appear in Kai’s next movie Dear Suburbia as well as throughout the What Youth content pool.

The day i got back from New Zealand I went straight to Huntington and surfed in the Vans Pier Classic and made it to the semi’s in the QS and 4th in the junior final. I was so tired by the QS semi and juniors final that i could barely make it to my feet… Now i’m en-route to indo for a surfing magazine/YWT trip (much more to come from this).
