When we were young, 10 and 8, we went to Tavarua. Our Mom and Dad said that if we wanted to surf Cloudbreak that we had to wear helmets. White Gath helmets. Of course we wanted to surf Cloudbreak so we strapped those things on and paddled out every day. It was quite a site. Yesterday the waves were small at Chopes and we went for a swim while Zak Noyle was shooting photos in his Gath helmet. It’s been about 7 years since we had to wear those things, but we thought we’d throw em on for old times sake. Zak took two pictures with his iphone. We’ll try to dig up the ones of us when we were little fatboys for you too.
