The Rincon Classic is perhaps the best local event in the history of local events. Every year the Santa Barbara community gets together down at Rincon and hangs out for two epic days of waves and good times. This year was the 30th anniversary of the event and It was the first year that I’ve been in town for the event since I was 14. It was also one of the first real surf events Parker and I participated in. We have so many good memories of the event and this year was no different. This year’s comp was dedicated to Daisy Merrick and it couldn’t have been a more awesome year to be here for the event. Thank you to Chris Keet and his crew for all of the hard work that it takes to put this event on. We have a very special community and I’m super grateful to be a part of it!
