If you haven’t heard of Blake Mills yet, you were going to sooner or later. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Blake perform live twice now. Once at a hoe down and once last night at Mollusk surf shop in Venice. Both times I have been dumbfounded by his ability to dissect, shred, and caress a guitar all at the same time. Three very different types of guitar playing, but somehow when you hear him play it makes sense. It’s literally mesmerizing. Blake’s also a super nice and genuinely good dude.
