Conner and I are both getting ready for events coming up this next week and we have been texting each other back and forth about how psyched we are to compete. Conner is in Brazil and I’m in portugal. As we are both getting psyched I remembered this amazing Chris Davidson video of him absolutely tweaking out before his heat in Mundaka a few years ago. It’s time for Conner and I to get on his level.
I don’t think there’s one thing that isn’t bad ass about Lynyrd Skynyrd. Their first couple albums are pure southern, honky tonk, raw, rock n’ roll. Here’s a video of them playing live on my birthday 16 years before i was born.
Ryan and I saw a fun opportunity to jump over to Hawaii and get some fun waves before the whole circus of the triple crown showed up. The waves have been pretty small, but its always fun when its not too crowded and you are in board shorts. Swell is starting to pick up now, so fingers crossed that it lights up and I have some better screen shots to post ! 
Bella Vita! The amazing documentary on surfing and the surf culture in Italy that we were apart of is now available for download on Itunes! Bella Vita is our Uncle’s baby and it features Chris Del Moro, Dave Rastavich, Leo Fiorivanti, Parker, and myself. We actually scored some really fun surf throughout our trip! The cinematography in the film is breathtaking and the positive message of family, love, and camaraderie is one that should be embraced in everyone’s lives.

Taylor Knox has been one of my favorite surfers since I was pretty damn young. I’m not sure exactly how old I was when someone first showed me Taylor’s movie “Arc,” but after that I was hooked on his surfing. Taylor is so powerful, compact, stylish, and lays it on rail as well as anyone else. My favorite part about his surfing is that it’s unique. You can see influences in his surfing, but he has his own approach and draws very different lines. Taylor is 40 something now and in amazing shape. We had the pleasure of traveling to Jbay with him last year and he is an epic human to hang out with. Here is a video of him recently in California. Check out the backside roundhouses in here, they’re mental!!! Yeah Taylor!
Kids researching Taylor’s surf parts should be part of your homework assignment for the rest of the school year!!!!
